With the pieces set up can UM do it again? Oline prem, qb prem, rb prem, man tigh end prem too imo.

Receiver is the only ? Buy have plenty of talent there to be sneaky good.

If Beck and the key pieces on the Oline stay healthy, no reason UM can’t be top 5.

Beck can make every throw, and has done so. We all worry about the receivers, but even last year the WR’s weren’t making a lot of plays beyond catching the ball. We weren’t turning bubble screens into 70 yard TD’s. We all remember X breaking the ankles on the UF dback, but more often than not, the receivers were open because the Oline gave Cam time, and the running game kept defenses honest. There is no reason to believe that will not happen again.

The bottom line about pass defense is that defenders can only cover receivers for a finite period of time. So if the QB has time, and can make throws, the offense will win. We have the QB and we have the Oline.

Having a veteran coordinator , vet oline and vet qb. Screams potential success to me.

I know its wishful thinking but yall hear me out. I honestly think these coachs know things.. last year at WR they went and added a Sam Brown on top of what we had. I know there were trying to bring in someone before spring. Sure they brought in Marion and Johnson but those are more depth pieces i feel anyway! My boy Trader is going to be that one recruit we hit on if Jeremiah Smith didnt exist he would have been THE 5* from South Florida last year! CJ has proved he can put up 1000 already. Josh Moore and Toney are going to be special, Upshaw is going to be **** good too but the other 2 will be ready this year. Heres what i predict as far as stats go.
Trader- 800 to 1000
CJ- 700 to 1000
Lofton-700
Bauman-400
1000 split between Toney, Johnson, Marion and Ray Ray
Moore- 350 or so maybe
Upshaw- 200 below
Robinson- ? Havent heard much

Running game I think Lyle is a 1000 yard back ends up RB1 Fletch might get hot and be the 1000 yard back behind our Oline. Brown im not big on but dude is jacked and will be a above average back up. Pringle gonna suprise imo think he ends up better than Brown just not this year.

I think this year could be better than last year's OL will be top 5 in Nation Beck comes back with a vengance. The difference last years O was set up by the pass this years will be by the run. It will open up the pass for Beck last year the run game was set up by Ward.

If the receivers overachieve then we can. The line is a known commodity. Beck is as well provide he’s healthy which we’ve been told he is. Backs are good. Not elite unless Lyle becomes that dude. Tight ends are very good.

Elite:
OL
Good:
Qb
Tight ends
RBs
Unknown but still decent floor:
Receivers

This will be a good offense with an established coordinator with a staff that has been together.

It wont be top 5, top 25 yes. Hawkeye is a good play caller, the players have to execute the plays its that simple. But without Cam it wont look as good, we will never see something like that again......EVER

Coaches talked a good game about complimentary football last season but it was essentially score or lose. I believe we “could” do the same this year but our defense will actually play reliably enough that we will deliver complimentary football this season. Which means we’re going to get ahead then slow the game down. Which means we’ll finish Top 15 but not Top 5 by choice.

Top 15 yes. I say that because the defense (hopefully) will be better. I think the offense will be running more cause the defense will be better than last year. We wont need to score 40 every single game.

I expect Miami to be a top 10-ish offense. We don’t have the explosiveness we did last year with Cam and a veteran receiving crew. Expect will run the ball more, chew up clock, and help the defense. I do it expect them to improve as the year progresses.

Of course, if Beck is injured, all bets are off and the offense will tank. Barring a Luke Nickel miracle.

The season will be on the defense. We simply cannot be as bad as last year. I don’t see how. I’d be happy if Miami can field a 20-30-ish ranked defense and not give up big play after big play game after game. At least make opponents earn it.

Yeah I said this before but as amazing as last years O was, it wasn’t loaded at receiver in terms of big time talents. This wasn’t Ohio State.

CJ is a solid WR. If Jojo can live up to his hype this receiver room should be fine.
