coaching search? May have been an ESPN article. I think it was posted here.
I recall thinking that our higher ups must think like Michigan did when searching for a new coach. In the article, the AD basically described how they recognized that they'd rolled the dice a few times, but things were so bad--so far from Michigan standards--that they HAD to get this one right and knew it. No more experiments. Couldn't get this one wrong. So they were going to do whatever it took to make a big hire. And, of course, they did.
I just remember the mentality the AD talked about and thought that's exactly where our heads need to be, period. It's a good read. Definitely relevant.
