- Rosier isn't just bad. This is high school level qb play. I can't recall seeing any D1 qb over the past year this bad. Not acceptable at Miami. 42% over the last 4 games? Missing easy, easy wide open throws all game? It's mind boggling how you can stay with that. The only conclusion that I can draw is that Richt values not making a mistake so much more than being able to make a play. If he's scared to play the younger guys because they might turn it over, that's flawed thinking at this point. Three and out all game long may be worse than a couple turnovers.
- Even with better qb play does anyone feel confident we could compete for a national championship with Richt running the offense and calling plays? I don't. Just like the Golden/Donofrio debate it's not one or the other, it's both that are a problem.
- This offense relies waaaaayyy too much on jump balls down the sideline. Our wrs don't even try a double move or a fake or anything. They just run straight down the field, allowing the db to stay on their hip and then hope to make a one on one play. Later in the game we connected on this play a couple times and many posters on here wondered, "where was that all game?" It wasn't missing earlier. We threw deep jump balls early in the game, we just didn't connect. And that's the problem with relying on this play, it's low percentage. And no matter who the qb is and how talented your wrs are, it's always going to be a low percentage play. When it's 3rd and 8, we don't need a 30 yard jump ball, we need 8 yards and a new set of downs.
- This offense relies waaaaay too much on Rosier running the ball. Rosier had 16 carries. Homer and Dallas had 15 combined. There's something very wrong with that.
- Lot of people saying this was the worst oline play in blah blah blah years. It was bad, however, early in the game it wasn't that bad. Rosier had plenty of time to throw in the first quarter. Later in the game, Rosier made it look a lot worse than it was with horrid pocket presence, one read and tuck it crap, and a lot of unnecessary panicking. I also think the oline may have looked worse than it is as the team unraveled and kind of gave up. Not throwing in the towel on this unit yet.
- When is the last time we checked out of a play? Rosier is a senior. How many times last night did LSU tip their hand on a blitz and we didn't change the play and we paid? Meanwhile their first time starting qb is checking out of plays. Does Richt not trust him? Is he that controlling?
- Speaking of blitzes, Rosier is completely incapable of recognizing a blitz and hitting the hot route.
- Todd Hartley. For two years now I've been saying he's got to go. But everyone on this site wants to fellate him because he's some awesome recruiter. Understand this....if you want to be a top program you need coaches who can recruit and coach. We shouldn't have to settle for one or the other. If he's such an awesome recruiter, then hire him for recruiting coordinator. But he cannot coach. Our special teams are absolutely the worst I've ever seen. There isn't one positive thing I can say about them, an absolute dumpster fire in every area. We cannot fire him fast enough.
- Robert Knowles should never see the field again.
- Garvin...did not hear his name once last night.
- Redwine....after all the offseason hype, the only time I noticed his number last night was when he was getting beat.
- Dean.....sigh.
- Willis...the offseason hype was real. The guy was unblockable.
