more than any other sport, football players have a tribal mentality. many of us knew once golden went MIA for PSU, it went bad. A lot of UM players were tweeting wondering where there coach was. The older kids dont trust him. I think this is why he was all about the freshmen this year in contrast to last year when he let the upper classmen drive us off a cliff. we won 9 games last year, prob more if Duke didnt get hurt. PSU happens, they all resent him and dont trust him. Until everyone but the 2014 kids are gone, this divide will be around. are you going to play hard to save the job of a coach who tired to bail on you? even in his post psu press conference, you can see he wanted out. This administration have no feel for whats going on. just can this bull**** artist already

Brought up a good point, a lot of these kids here are head cases, so things like that will get to them, i think golden lost the locker room after all that stuff that happened with pedo, winning cures all as they say but he aint winning and those kids heads are just going to go even more crazy
 
i am not calling them head cases but think about that. this guy went into hiding. players and recruits didnt hear from him for days. meanwhile, um gives him benefit of doubt. he also started the fake "Boston College" rumors to get the extension his first year. the guy is not a saint.

Not only did Golden go missing for a week but when he came back he looked depressed like he just caught his wife in bed with another dude.

Most of these kids are head cases and when we lose or dont get things going they shut down, as you saw from them the last two games, its the coaches job to make them not shut down
