Want to thank @DMoney for a few moments of breaking bread at one of the famous Islas Canarias. Dude has to be one of the most humble and gracious folks you will ever meet.
We got a chance to talk about a ton of stuff, mostly life and family and the importance of being thankful for what we have and what we are given.
Getting a chance to thank him for creation of things and his giving without taking. He could do so many other things and such, but this site is amazing gift to others. He and others have built something great here and a few other things along the way. I plugged a few of the admins and mods here, how behind the scenes they have been pretty cool dudes and helped me through some pretty dark times dealing with Cancer, MS, issues with the wife such as vax clots and a severe car accident.
I can't think of a better ambassador of all things that we love here, most of all CANEs. If you ever get a chance to meet him, you won't be disappointed. He is one of the folks that if he knows you are going through a difficult time, it will ping you out of the blue to check in on you, make sure you are good. Ironically, as much as we get to see podcasts of him talking, D$ is one of the best listeners you will ever meet. I don't know how he does it all, juggles all the things going on and still handle the little things like taking a lunch with someone. Amazing.
I was talking to the wife after we chatted and I told her that. I wondered how you could sacrifice in not taking the bag and can do it while getting beat up as much as folks do. I'm like, this site is for free, he does all of it for so little and sometimes for so many that are not gracious and literally try and tear the site down and the folks that contribute. I honestly don't understand the path at this point for him, how he continues to do it. How he doesn't sell out or cash out, believe me there is a ton of sacrifice that this man does to keep this place going. I don't want to belittle the others that contribute, because folks like @Peter Ariz also put a bunch on the table to contribute.
My wife said it best because she said this, He is doing what he loves, not what he has to. I wish many blessing to D$ and his family. They are some amazing people and I pray God continues to bless them.
To the others that contribute, Thank you all.
