While people do like to ***** and moan about like WR/DT/LB recruiting or whatever, Safety recruiting out of HS imo Has been BY FAR the biggest disappointment this year and the last few years. It is very good for us that Poyser has multiple seasons. And hopefully I guess Dylan Day becomes that guy. Maybe Amari Wallace is a pure safety instead of a nickel and is good (and at this point we have ZERO choice but to exclusively train him at safety imo). But honestly we are looking REALLY bad at safety. I would have said we needed 3 pretty good quality safeties this recruiting class. Now it appears we are struggling to get 1. WE definitely gotta land Blake Stewart. And then we better go all out for the best Safety in the portal next year again.

I just keep questioning why 1 of Damari/Lucas aren't at Safety.

Well, Miami is making a significant push for Stewart, and that has the 6-foot, 170-pounder heavily considering the Hurricanes down the final stretch of his recruitment with a commitment expected to come next weekend. Miami is absolutely a threat and are actively pushing to close the gap on the Tigers for their top safety target.

Miami has also turned up the heat on Green and are giving the versatile, two-way athlete plenty to think about, especially considering the way the Dawgs have loaded up at defensive back this cycle.
