We've been going on about Richt and his playcalling for 3 weeks (some, longer than that to their credit), and it's a broken record by now. It is what it is (bad, awful, putrid, horrid, awful, terrible, no good, very bad, unimaginitive, archaic, dull, boring, predictable -- you get the point), so I'm going to lay off. But I will say this --

The honeymoon phase is over.

Blake James needs to have a nice, cordial, professional chat with Richt and kindly remind him that yes, youre the man, and yes, we are ecstatic to have you, but make no mistake: You aren't untouchable (which is how he is calling plays) and progress is expected (a repeat 8-4 season, is a monumental failure).

We've given you EVERY-thing that you've asked for. Now, it's incumbent upon you to win the games that the University of Miami is paying you 4 million dollars a year to win. Nobody is saying you need to change your system, but if you're going to run it, you better make **** sure it wins us some games bc the "it's the players/cloud/depth" excuse ain't gonna cut it anymore.

These things start from the top down - and that's why we have no chance at ever being good again until we hire an actual AD.

Miami has become the build-your-retirement-fund pit stop of the coaching world. We're being run like a country club and not a business.

Flake has proven to be a submissive bytch. We're heading into the same situation we had with Golden and if Flake doesn't stand up to Golden there's no way in **** he will stand up to Richt. At the end of year 3 of Golden's tenure, any sensible AD would've given Golden an ultimatum, fire D'Nofio, or you're fired. Instead, we had to endure two more years of the inevtiable until it was Flake's hand that was forced to fire Golden after the Clemson loss.

Now we have Richt'Onfrio calling plays on offense. Flake needs to sack up and issue the same ultimatum - why wait? - or at the very least give him a hard expectation on year 2 and fire his *** if he does not meet it.

But this will never happen. We hired a Shalala puppet from Maine that is completely overwhelmed and clueless as to how to run a D1 program. A man with all the authority has no authority, what a fccking joke.

Very important point. Golden would've at the very least finished the season if James had his way.

Maybe I should've titled this thread Board of Trustees.
 
So now we're expecting the AD to have THAT meeting after six games at a program that hasn't even won a bowl game in 10 years? This is why you guys get paid hourly.

I'd say Richt's play calling is more delusional than that.

Also, you're grasping at straws, at no point did I say to have the meeting that will never happen RIGHT now. I even said he should've sat down with Golden at the END of year three. But go ahead, and exaggerate my point to stick up for Richt'Onfrio.
 
Blake isn't a real AD. He's a Shalala puppet.

Similar to what Obama and Merkel are to Soros.

lol. It's not a come to Jesus meeting. Come on now. But if you're hired to do a job at any respectable business, and you're stumbling out the gate, your boss is going to say something to you.

Is he going to threaten to fire you, or rip you a new one? I would hope not. Is he going to demand changes? Maybe. Most likely, he won't. He may even offer you words of encouragement, but he is going to do something to let you know that he sees what is happening and that the miscues are not going unnoticed. If he does not, well, that's when you tend to have employees who feel as if they can operate with complete autonomy.

There's nothing delusional about that. Only 6 games you say? Very true, but there are alarming signs, just as there were after Golden's first game.
 
Blake and Frenk did their jobs by investing more into this program than ever before. To this point Ricth is not holding up to his part.
