There's a daggum treasure trove of material..

What are some odd surprises you saw last night watching UM vs UAB?

I start with

1) Jarred Harrison Hunt jumped both the other r-freshman dt's and he is HUGE! RJ Mcintosh clone. He's a year away from being a game wrecker.

2) Rooster been known. Chaney knows. They are all-freshman team players and we have the offense to support one of their bids for Freshman-POY awards.

3) I honestly mistook Michael Redding for Larry Hodges. Michael Redding a big maaf.

4) Sam Brooks over Jennings for a few weeks. Jennings is rusty.

I was very surprised on the lack of a good passing game. After hearing about how the passing game was rolling in the 3 scrimmages i thought it would be the bright spot on offense, turns out that why they looked so good was they were goimg against a poor secondary with linebackers that were not in position to succeed.

Harrison Hunte for sure, boy didn't play as much as some other DTs, but he showed out. Miller did quite well as well.

I’d say nesta. I think this year is his year to turn the corner. And dam miller is a bad dude. He needs more burn. Ford is big
For nothing

WRs still not able to get seperation.
I think Wiggins gets separation. He's probably our best hope for some semblance of a #1 receiver this year.

But yeah, depth chart is an indictment on recruiting. A Miami team should have more ready-to-play talent than this. They simply have to give Payton a chance......he's got a lot more upside that most of the guys.

Lack of TE usage. What, 4-5 targets for Brevin and Mallory combined? Especially with the WR not impressing, we need the TE to get the ball and step up.

I'd rather see jennings stay in and mccloud benched tbh. Nesta looked good, rb's & king looked electric. O line was just ok. Receivers & corners were disappointing. I still think wiggins/payton have more unseen potential and I wanna see restrepo asap in the slot. Minus pope fumble ST was solid.

Smith and Redding look stronger than our upperclassmen wrs

Nesta played like the player people have expected him to be

Ivey is allegedly the second best CB on the team

Looks like there is a legit 3 headed running attack (speed option still needs some work)

Procedural penalties or lack thereof

The crowd. I don't know how many people were there exactly but it looked to be around 15-20 on tv

Baker still can't help but scheme the front 7 out of third downs

Phillips is massive and he is FAST
