This hit by Michael Barrow in the 1992 Miami v FSU game was the loudest experience I had at a football game up to that point in my life. I was in my sophomore year at The U and this was my first UM v FSU game. I thought my ears were going to bleed from the noise inside the OB, but I knew they weren't going to bleed as bad as Vanover's. F that dude.
And F FSU infinity.

The loudest moment of my life in the OB was Dorsey to Shockey in 2000....against FSU.

GO CANES!

Mine as well; Edit to state- i read the title wrong. This was the biggest hit i;ve seen live at a Miam fsu game- but i had already been going to every home game for a decade at that point.

Great game.
The Vanover TD to start the game
Marvin Jones hit on Larry Jones
Barrow destruction of Vanover
Wide Right II

My favorite player was Kevin Williams, then that happened and I fell in love with defense.

The bowl went ape ****. I was sitting around the 20/30 yard line, closed end, behind visitor’s bench - great vantage to watch.

I was baptized into this rivalry at that moment.
Bobby went to the well with the wr screen one too many times and you could see Mike B read the play.

The Bowl went ape ****.

I’m watching vannover flopping around, Rohan jumping around, Barrow does the salute, Harris standing over the victim, Barrow getting more amped, the Bowl getting even louder and it felt great because f*ck them. Then Wide Right II and it was injected straight into my veins; I have been hooked ever since.

I could listen to Keith Jackson & Bob Griese talk about that hit all day and it would be a very good day.

Kanell was a freshman QB on this team and the backup. He said today on one of the shows that when that hit happened he was shook and was praying Ward didn't get knocked out of the game.

i heard the laron byrd hit from outside of the stadium. most violent thing ive ever heard. when i watched back i was like wow THAT was the gunshot sound?
