For the Cristobal fanatics, we cannot overlook a massive red flag- one that would cause us to repeat a prior mistake:

Hiring a man who coaches in a tie.

Absolutely not.

Surely all of the chomo's who bought the fear the tie shirts would get a bit excited about those getting some more burn.
 
I'm pretty sure he stopped wearing the tie around 2010.

He still shouldn't get the job...

No worries. LSU is sure to scoop him up. What a coup it would be for them to grab someone from Saban's staff with SoFl recruiting experience and knowledge of the SEC west.
 
I think there's roughly 56 head coach openings right now in college football and not a single program outside of ours has mentioned his name.

Career records may have something to do with that, one has proven that he can build this program into a monster before. The other was a failure at FIU.

I understand that. But that is not what he said. He said that there are 56 openings and Mario's name is not being mentioned by any of them and that should tell you all you need to know.

Why use that reasoning when nobody is talking about scooping Butch up either???

I want nothing to do with Mario and I'd be fine with Butch but I do think it would tough for him to replicate what he already did here.
 
You're right ^^. I still have yet to find a good retort to that - of all the openings in the last 5 years, has Butch been a candidate for any of them? I know there was a random rumor that he was "being considered" for the Arkansas job before they settled on Bellyleima but that was never confirmed. Butch does not appear to be a hot commodity either. Just sayin...

Butch isn't a hot commodity, at least on the surface. Being the football gawd that he is though, he's managed to keep his name off of people's public list and is secretly entertaining offers from his desk in the clouds between lunch appointments in underground bunkers with the movers and shakers of the college football landscape. He'll be back soon enough wherever he chooses and will rain fire and brimstone upon the college landscape as never before.

Butch never wore a tie on game day. Oh, 29 1st round draft picks and the greatest team ever assembled. Other than that, you could use it.
