Maybe waiting wasn't such a great decision.

Poor huskers are crying they can’t play
No way a big 10 team makes the playoffs they won’t play enough games
Im curious what will be said if we cancel games. We just had 13 positive tests this week... #dontwishharmonotherspoortaste

The 21-day quarantine will be their downfall. The ACC, Big 12, and SEC are about halfway through the season and have had minor hiccups.
Hate to say it but it's been spoken about that several programs have taken the approach of pinching pennies on test and avoiding media attention.

I figured once their backup QB also tested positive there was no chance they played no matter how many positives they end up having. A the contact tracing nightmare and B they’re a big time school they’ll never be forced to play 8th string ball boy as QB

Not sure why it matters. The B1G has had one team win a natty since 2001.

Champions based on current conference affiliations
2001-2019 (10 unique teams):
SEC 11
ACC 4
Pac 2
B1G 2
B12 1

Miami, OSU*(2), LSU (3), USC*(2), Texas, UF(2), Bama (5), Auburn, FSU, Clemson (2)

Off-topic: It sure looks like the changes to college football around 2004 have helped the SEC more than any other conference. If you look at the 1980-2000 period of time, the conferences were very balanced.

It’s not about wishing someone ill, it’s about the stupidity of starting so late in the season which gave yourself zero margin for error.

We/the ACC still has a weekend to play with between the last game of the season and the ACC championship game, if a game has to be postponed.

We played every single game that we have scheduled and even have a bye week now coming up.

The Pussy10 decided to come up with ***** reasons to not start the season on time, all based on made up bullshlt stuff. They totally fūcked their football programs over. That’s on them.

They should get no special consideration for playoffs

Not that it is a huge deal, but we have not officially played all the games thus far.

ND had to move the Wake Forest game to the "flex" weekend of December 12 because of the delay in the VaTech game.

This bears repeating.

Is there a minimum number of games a team has to play to be in playoffs?

I don’t know that it’s stated, but it only makes sense that if say if you only play six games, compared to somebody that plays 11 games, you put yourself at much less risk of losing games, of getting injuries, of a lot of things. It’s just obviously not the same measuring parameters in which to compare teams. So I think there should be a minimum number of games for consideration, whatever that number would be, eight, nine, 10.
