Beyond proud of these things (updated post-OSU on post #80)

I’m going with the mental toughness of the whole team throughout the game. There were multiple times we could’ve folded, it was a frustrating game offensively and Davis was having a nightmare. But they kept their focus and just refused to lose. Again, old school vibes. Proud of this bunch for the way they gutted out the win.

How did he hold on to the ball with Pruitt’s hit? Unbelievable hit and timing. A&M board was crying for targeting. But it was a perfect hit.
And Concepcion never played the same after that blast from Pruitt. Loved it, especially because all the Aggies around us were screaming for a penalty lol.

It’s that “I’m gonna hit you as hard as I can right in your fuccin mouth over and over again” mentality. Then my little brother or big brother is gonna do it. Cam Pruitt on special teams laying out Concepcion. Mark Fletcher pulling a Derrick Henry for 25 yards on the A&M DB. Fletcher hyping up Mali on the sideline after the fumble, then Mali scoring the game winner. Bryce stepping up in clutch time. So many plays.

I will add in the 4th quarter Mario asking Heatherman do you want to accept or decline the 3rd down personal foul. That to me was huge, Heatherman said decline and Miami stopped them on 4th down.
All are getting better and trusting each other to do their jobs.
AND without looking at the boxscore, I can only recall 2 penalties; 1 Def offsides and 1 Unnecessary Roughness, that’s it. I absolutely love yesterday’s all around team discipline.
Go Canes!
There was also the delay of game in the second quarter. We had a TO to burn but oddly did not use it. That timeout actually came back to help us in our final drive presently he missed FG to end the half.

Question is …. Did we intentionally not burn a TO and accept the five yards cause we didn’t get to snap it in time? Or did we just not even realize it until it was too late?

Blay has made some very good tackles this season.

I distinctly remember him tackling Castellanos on a scramble…didn’t whiff. Didn’t over persue. Lined him up and wrapped up and brought him down.

Loved that play vs fsu

Not gonna lie I didn’t make a sound that entire run

No cheering or freaking out

Just was almost like the whole thing happened in slow motion knowing somehow some way this was the run that was going to win us this game

Just a brief moment praying for no flags
I thought this was somewhat reminiscent of X making that catch against Cal to go for 50 and march us down the field. Monstrous moment in the game. It breathed life into all of us.

Freight train Fletcher steam rolling one of ATMs DTs. He was sent to the sideline and never returned.

We had a ton of guys laying it on the line. I was reminiscent of old times. You could tell their players didn’t want it anymore.

The timing on the Pruitt hit was sublime.

I still don't know how guy held on. We get a game changing result there 99/100...

Yes, it was intentional. We are at the 50. No harm in an extra 5 yards. No way do you ever take a TO to save 5 yards on 4th done unless you are going for it.

There was one play that was totally overlooked IMO. They rant an A gap run and our LB (never saw who because even EAPN glossed over it) absolutely stuck him in the hole and buried him. Others piled on, which is why it got overlooked I think, but someone stuck that Owen’s kid! It just made me smile, because in years past we’ve made that play and given up 3-4 more yards.
I’d guess it was Mo or Wes. Waiting for the condensed game to come out to rewatch.

Leaving it all out there on the field for your brothers, something that had been missing from this program for a very, very long time. If you didn’t have a tear in your eye watching the way that game ended you’ll never understand what it means to be a Miami Hurricane.

That was the intentional one for the punt, yeah. But there was one on a third and ten that put us into third and fifteen, no?

I think it was Chase Smith. If not the play you are thinking of he had another similar one

Also, Chase Smith has come a whole **** of a long way

52 had one of his best games of the year

Im sure we all know how good anez and francis are but i have to give them a shoutout, best run blocking duo in the country. They will be missed.

Great post!!

To this day, Steve Walsh is still my favorite Cane QB of all time. That Michigan comeback that he led on the road in front of a packed house was legendary!

4 things that really jumped out at me during the game on Saturday that were outside the actual game itself that I’ll never forget seeing and feeling!

Fletch emotionally lifting up Toney after the fumble. Wow! There were other players trying to get to Toney in that moment as well but that moment was all Fletcher. It was obviously personal for him in that moment. It was like watching Fletcher morphing into becoming the leader of this team right before our eyes. Well earned and definitely deserved! His father would be proud!!

The Keionte Scott tackle was a thing of beauty but that celly though!! Dude was having an out of body experience after he made that tackle and rightfully so. Making an open field tackle like that in a big moment is what DB’s dream of. I need that front kick celly on a shirt!!

Fletcher was jacked and talking **** as we lined up for the game winning drive. I looked to my friend and said, Fletcher looks like he knows he’s getting the rock here! Man! Was he ever!!

Toure , while being escorted to the locker room after knocking himself out on arguably, the play of the game and breaking away from the staff member to celebrate with the team after the Fitz interception was one of those, It’s a Canes Thing… U Wouldn’t Understand moments if I’ve ever seen one.

Let’s Go!!! It feels so good to finally be back!!

No use in making a fresh thread, as this has already been a surreal run that feels incredibly connected. We even are watching some repeating plays from earlier in the season.

So, here are a bunch more plays that happened vs OSU that made me so incredibly proud:

- POST TAMU I SAID: #0 is one of my favorite players in a long while. He does everything with his hair on fire and his balls on the line. This guy’s family should never pay for a drink around a Cane. On a play where Reed broke outside, this dude made one of the most beautiful inside/out tackles on the perimeter I’ve seen in forever.

Now, it's at another level. Not only did this dude flip the entire game with his pick-6, he did it while defeating a half-hearted block from JSmith4. Let me add that my favorite play of the game was actually his effort and tackle on the end around to JSmith4. He defeated a block and made the play for a 1 yard gain. He's truly a textbook tackler on the edges. If I were still coaching any DB, I'd basically show them this.

- POST TAMU I SAID: CJ Daniels motioned into a lead f’in block and didn’t half measure it. He actually engaged, squared, and turned his defender’s hips outside.

Might be the offensive play of the game. This was a similar play from the FSU game (Dawson goes back to successful plays often). 3rd and 4 at the OSU 20 and he slips underneath and nearly breaks it again. Sealed the game, essentially. Good anticipation from Dawson and Beck that OSU was in man coverage and we got hats on hats.

- POST TAMU I SAID: Mark Fletcher ran so hard he knocked out TAMU’s most effective Defensive Tackle.

Fletcher literally ran over OSU's "hasn't missed a tackle all year" player. He ran for nearly 100 yards again, and had a great bounce back from the early fumble.

- POST TAMU I SAID: Toney fumbled and then came back to run the game winning Jet sweep.

Toney got smashed by Caleb Downs, who might be the best DB I've seen since DStingley. He picked up his own fumble with one hand and fell forward.

- POST TAMU I SAID: Bain’s sack down in the RZ was a genuine game changer.

Bain was a **** machine yesterday. When, early on, he pushed the Tackle into outer space and set the edge on a run, I felt we had a real chance for the remainder of the game.

- #12 got held like a gaffed fish all night, but on his critical sack, he made about 3 extra efforts. Teach tape!

- I was pretty anxious when #6 came out and we motioned and brought him back on the 3rd down. We had literally ran that play before in a critical spot and I was concerned it'd be easily recognized by OSU and someone would undercut it. He beat Reese to his spot, though the formation helped a ton. And, made perhaps a top 3 critical play of the game on 3rd and 3.

Please add many of your own plays. There are so many and we actually left it all on the field yesterday.
