Better evaluator of talent: Randy Shannon or Butch Davis?

I am involved in a discussion in another thread in which a member of this board states that Randy Shannon is/was better than Butch Davis at evaluating talent (this member claims that Randy Shannon is the best evaluator of talent ever but I will limit this topic just to Butch Davis). I say that Butch Davis is vastly superior at evaluating talent than Randy Shannon.

Does anyone else think that Randy Shannon is better than Butch Davis at evaluating talent?

Clarification: I do not think Shannon is a better evaluator, someone else on this board made the claim. I merely wanted to see if anyone else on the board agreed with this claim.

I wouldn't waste your time with Moro(n) as he's obviously trolling.
He is also convinced that the reason Shannon didn't succeed at UM was because he wasn't given the resources
due to racism.
That's trolling.
He's probably one of those posters who has banned numerous times under different board names.

Anyone that thinks Randy Shannon is better at evaluating talent than Butch Davis is either A) Retarded B) A family member or C) A retarded family member.
 
Oops, wrong room... It's a ****y sheet meeting and I'm sure that I am not welcome.
 
Butch is clearly the better of the two, but when it comes to recruiting, the assistants often times don't get any or enough credit. Any head coach would tell you it takes a staff to evaluate players and all their input is taken into account.
