The Miami area never lacks for skilled position talent, we need to get back to keeping most of them home. Win big this season and it will start again.

Heard that exact phrase for 4 straight years now. In 2011, 2012, & 2013 and now 2014.

you're right we've been hearing that for 4 straight years & we have yet to compete for a conference title in a decade, let alone a chip. So we won't know until we actually start winning again what effect it'll have on recruiting

This is the price to be paid when your team is a consistent defensive doormat. Respect is lost at many levels. What young football player would want to be associated with it, when there are other choices.

FL but not in Sfl:
Ray Lewis
Warren Sapp
Jerome Brown
Jerome Brown

the ones who actually are from SFl are:
Michael Irvin

I know this is thread is suppose to be about canes, but Barry Sanders should be #3 and Seau should be #5.

Munoz was a great tackle, but Sanders was superb talent. Had he played behind a better line and Ross not given his carries away in the RZ. Dude stats would have been out of reach of anyone.

Deon was not a complete player. He was a cancer and compared to Seau, he falls short imo.

All the honorable mentions too. Wow.

Andre, Shockey, Greg Olsen, Tez, Edge, Ottis, Jerome Brown, Vince, Beason...

On top of the top guys Sapp, Playmaker, Kelly, Reed, Ray, Wayne.

Unreal man...what sucks is that someday very soon all of this is going to go away.

You can't win without big name recruits and you can't get big name recruits until you win. What came first, the chicken or the egg?

What came first was a good coach that could develop average and above average recruits into great players. Once that happened every player that signed maxed out their potential.

Let me know when we get one of those coaches again.
