Besides money, why would any big time recruit want to play here?

Or are we at the point where $$ is the most important things and guys don't care if they go 9-3 and play in the Pop Tart Bowl every year.

(This is a serious question. At some point will Mario still be able to get top players to come here?)

The JJ Smiths of the world won’t come here cause they can get what ever from any school. And are smart enough to pick actual winning programs.. while getting stupid paid

We’ll get the pretty good dudes that we over pay for to come miss the ACC and playoffs.. cause they just want the bag.

Believe it or not, he still has people who believe in him. Probably not many on this board. Also, if he wins out he’s still selling improvement. Hypothetically, if he wins out he’s 10-2. That’s two 10 win seasons in a row which hasn’t been done here in 20 plus years. That will be his recruiting message to players and to boosters. It’s a lot of people that will still buy into that.

Yeah, I probably should know that, I just can't believe anyone thinks this ever gets any different.

Money is the biggest thing for sure. It's hard to turn down when it's right there if you just take it.

Another thing, the guys getting big money, which is really anything to a lot of them are full of youthful pride and optimism. They're the big **** wherever they're from, sold on being one of the last few pieces of the puzzle, and in their minds there's no way they aren't going to continue being a star with the NFL just waiting three years out.

I'd bet everyone on here thought they'd hit it big in life and very few did. Again, it's big dreams without the reality of life on your shoulders. There's no way you aren't going to crush it.

They should go to the best fit, sometimes they do. They should take less money and go to the better coach or team. They should pay attention to draft picks, win / loss records, but they likely don't. That stuff doesn't matter to them, they're the **** remember and see above.

Kids aren't fans these days. They don't watch the game much. When they face adversity, there's people in their ear saying they aren't the problem, why don't you reach out or there's already someone there talking to them wanting them to switch it up.

Game has gone crazy and yes, it's about the money for most.

I wouldn’t send my kid to Miami for football. Joke program ran by idiots who don’t know what the **** they are doing.

That's basically the answer I was looking for.
