What is really hurting this team is our bench production. D. Allen is fine but Malovec, Altuntas and Dovrat need to produce more. Right now we are six deep.
Losing M.Allen really hurt this team. He was the solid 7th man and did so many things on the court.

Reminds me of the 2021-2022 team that went to the elite 8. Joseph and Poplar were the only guys worth a **** off the bench. Nowadays you need depth if you are going to make a run. At least 8 guys who could contribute.
 
Lucas blew most of his budget on his starters, and it shows. This team is very top heavy and as we move through conference play, we're likely going to see this team start to falter, because the minutes are going to take a toll. I'm certain Coach Lucas will learn from this and build a more complete roster. The whiffs made in regards to the bench are egregious.
 
Dovrat has shown some signs in recent games. I would look to get him more minutes moving forward. Malovec and Altuntas are absolutely a liability though
