Because I love downvotes and unwarranted criticism by Internet Mr. T's...The Butch solution...

The Butch solution: In 4 easy steps
1. Mark steps down as HC by the end of this year.
2. Butch is hired as HC for $1mm with performance incentives that actually exceed Mark's pay if he's successful.
3. Like Jimbo with Bobbah, Diaz is named coach in waiting and stays as DC (predicated on continued success as DC)
4. Ken Dorsey takes over as OC/QB coach.

This takes care of the concerns over Butch's age, keeps Diaz in place, brings in a fan fave and hungry to prove himself Dorsey (who comes with NFL coaching experience) and is VERY affordable! It only becomes more expensive as Butch wins more games.

Blast away, but in your little hear of hearts, you know this is a great patch forward. :-)

You butch guys are like cult members.

Or fans of a superstar band whose last real hit was 20 years ago but still has enough fans to team up with Def Leppard or fake Journey for a summer tour.

Either way the memories are better than what current day would be.
 
Not sure which I would prefer: Dorsey as OC or Dorsey as AD

Def Leppard isn’t nearly as popular as they used to be but they still sound amazing live

Right so perfect for summer shed tour (FIU) but not a stadium (Miami) tour.

And any new record wouldn’t compare to the past.

Butch left Miami for better pastures (NFL) and he failed! He went to UNC and he failed! Butch quit on The U for more $ and now we are suppose to believe he can be trusted! Butch is done and unreliable!

Or, they can just pay the guy (or any coach) what he’s worth.

Since Mork ain’t going nowhere tho....

Pretty sure he led the Browns, an I sufferable franchise, to their last playoff birth. Pretty sure he took a UNC team that avg 8 losses under Bunting and turned them into a winning program while whipping our @$$e$ 3 out of the 4 yrs he was there. And I’m pretty sure he’s now leading a punk *** FIU program to their best season and most likely Conf USA title.

Don’t know wtf is wrong w some of u fans that’s got this ridiculous grudge against him. He left; I get it...but got **** get over it.
