For those that don't follow bball recruiting, when is nsd?

Can we parlay this year's success into a Calapari esque recruiting class?

Start date is April 17 and ends May 15. Early signing period happened in November which is why a lot of the big names are off the board.

Demetrius Henry is a huge hope right now. Probably need to pick up a SF as well.
 
Basketball is different, for one there is an early signing period in November, then the NSD is usually mid April that lasts about a month. If you think football recruiting is fluid and shady, hold on to your butts, 'cus football ain't even a country mile close to basketball. Coaches are hired and fired because of connections to AAU and development leagues.
 
I'm still really hoping we can pick up a JUCO big guy and maybe a graduate school transfer. Along with Henry, who I think has to pick us over South Carolina and South Florida right?
 
I think Henry is picking out of florida schools only (UM, UCF, USF). I am confident they will be trying to get some JUCO guys to fill in as well.
 
I personally don't think next year will be as bad as some of you think, but I really hope Coach L finds some JUCO or graduate school transfers so we can at least keep some of the momentum going. That, and go read the UNC and Duke boards. While a lot of their fans praise us, a lot say, "wait til next year when they suck again." I really want to prove them wrong.
 
I know they where also looking at 2014 kids who would be able to reclassify and sign this year.

How about that Nigerian kid who we signed for football? I wonder if he plays basketball. He seems like a biggie we can use.
 
we lose 6 guys from this team but only have 2 commits, that doesnt sound too good....and by all accounts it doesnt seem like were on too many people outside of henry

Most Nigerian kids grow up playing a lot of basketball. This kid started football only 3 years ago. With his size (6-11" or so) he definitely must have played some bball.

Lol sonny Is around 6-8". And NO you can't just throw him out there and play ball. Basketball is ALOT TOUGHER to play at a high level than football.

He did play basketball at Huntington Prep a few years ago .. though not successfully as football at Hargrave .

We need to sign Henry. A JUCO big or Graduate transfer is a need as well. We can also use another PG
 
Another Pg would be nice since shane could leave this year. We need a big man since all of ours are leaving
