Were lucky we have Peter O'Beast because the other 8 starting hitters are borderline starters, or worse, some are just utility guys at best.

salcinas has looked shaky thus far.....but the rest of the bullpen has been pretty solid outside of him

actually im not overly concerned about pitching either

with erickson back.......we can use ewing in middle relief on weekends.....and we know rad isnt nearly as bad as he pitched on sunday......ditto for sargent

fernandez looks to have talent

nedeljkovic seems to have good ****

whaley is good.....and encinosa was good as a reliever 2 years ago and as a starter last year

if we need to rely on guys like salas and salcinas......we will have problems

im more worried about the lineup

just got an update on encinosa from somebody who was at the game

he didnt get hurt......he landed wrong on a pitch.....and morris decided to pull him just incase.......he didnt wanna leave and cursed all the way back to the dugout

Encinosa was hitting 97 on the gun Saturday against Rutgers. Wicked slider too. The upgrade over Miranda is massive.

i agree

the fact that he was so good as a starter last year......after working out of the pen the year before.....and can now slide into the closers role.....he should be the best closer weve had since probably perez or bellamy

with our starters and the addition of nedeljkovic......if we can get starting pitching the way weve gotten in 3 of the first 4 games this year.....we should be playing alot of short games

if erickson stays healthy......this is a whole different staff......if he gets hurt again.....all bets are off
