You need to understand something...

This thread seems like it was meant for some good news, and you seem religious based on your comment. I live in the bible belt my friend, and I have been around all types of religious people, even the judgmental type, such as yourself.

You should know that you are not supposed to judge people, regardless when it comes to faith....I will also assume that you really know nothing about any of these young men when it comes to their faith and their relationship with God. Your decision to come in here and make a judgmental comment provides a glimpse of what kind of person you are.

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:1-5).

"Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment" (John 7:24).

"For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?" (I Corinthians 5:12).

Scripture teaches that we are to judge but with righteous judgement. And I didn't judge these young men. I simply stated that I hope that these young men are being discipled in a local church. Because here is the reality: far too often people make professions of faith, they don't join a local church, they are not discipled, and they fall away. In fact, Jesus speaks of this very issue in the parable of the sower (see Mark 4:1-20).

My hope is that these young men join a local church, are discipled, and continue in the faith that they professed at their baptism. How is that unloving? Quite frankly, it's the opposite of unloving and judgmental. I want these young men to grow in their faith, to be further sanctified, and to reach the end of their faith which is eternal glorification. I couldn't care less what your opinion is, where you live, or what kind of person you think I am. My concern is for the eternal destiny of these young men, and if you or anyone else thinks that being baptized in a public display is the end of their faith, you're absolutely wrong; it is just the beginning, and hopefully they finish their race. But you make keep your opinion, you are entitled to it. But I won't renounce mine for the sake of it.
