So this fraud of a committee has said so many contradictory things in the past weeks like
1) You can't lose 2 games in 3 weeks in the middle of the season, but I guess you can lose two of your last four like bama did?
2) Then it was Miami has to pass the eye test, but bama just rushed for -3 yards yesterday, did they pass the eye test?

How many points would Bama have needed to lose by before they failed the eye test? 22?, 30, 40, 50????

Would Miami have lost to UGA by 21? Nope

How many double digit losses does Miami have this year? None. bama? 2, and one of them to FSU, but I keep forgetting the first game of the year doesn't count!

One like opponent to compare, FSU, oh but that must not count either, right?

What exactly does count? Well I am pretty sure whatever they say counts today, won't count tomorrow.

To the guy in my section who scolded me for being negative during the 4th quarter of the ND game as we let ND come back from 21-7, well that is why I was soooo ****ed, and why I couldn't understand why we did not bury them just like we have done in Miami since 1977 (last time ND won here!). We can ***** about the unfairness of the playoff rules but when we don't bury a ND when we could have or we lose 2 games because we play conservative the entire game, well now you know why we don't do those things and why guys like Jimmy Johnson said when you've got them down, POUR IT ON THEM! You are Miami and you will get screwed if you give the other team or a committee or anything else half a chance. They hate Miami but you don't have to sit there and take it, you could have done something about it, but we decided not to.

We now know a few solid rules:
1) We have to win the conference in order to get to the playoff! We may still not get a bye but we have to win our conference so finding ways to lose is not the goal.
2) You can't lose more than 1 game to have a chance, play like it!!! It's the way it used to be, why not coach with some effing urgency instead of passively causing your own demise with your own poorly conceived strategies.

Learn those two things and it was worth it, continue this stupidity like we seem to have chosen to do and we will get left out every year. Total disappointment, but it is also our own dam fault.

You make good points but I disagree on the ND game. Even if we win that game by 13 they would still be using the same arguments for and against us.

If we won the SMU game, they’d still have us on the bubble for losing the Louisville game and the debate would be all about how we got outcoached by Brohm.
Nah. If we won vs SMU we would be in easily.

We would definitely had "shots" taken at us but we would be in the 6-8 range and be -35000 to make the playoff.

I wholeheartedly believe Mario learned the lesson this year. Never again!

Well we would have played UVA for the ACC last night and it wouldn't matter their debate outside of should Miami get a bye over B1G runner up Taint.
Good point.

Thanks y’all for bringing me back from the dark side. I shouldn’t have skipped church this morning! 🤣

Bama passed the eye test...IF YOU'RE BLIND.

They were never in that game yesterday. They had negative rushing yards. The game was never in doubt, even if Georgia took it easy on Bama and didn't score as many points as they could have.

In NASCAR, it's called "team orders".

You might be right.

My cynicism is in overdrive lately.
I don't blame you.

I could go on and on about us knowing the ACC always running way behind in the conference hierarchy. I won't though. Perception is reality and the perception has been since SMU we've been outside looking in.

We took our cards and put them in the hands of others so now we're stuck making logical arguments to the illogical people playing "Whose Line is it Anyway?" that run the show and make the calls.

I keep seeing these reporters insinuating that conference championship losers shouldn't be punished, but they've been being punished for losing already.

If you lose a close game, I get it. If you get ******* lambasted like Bama and BYU did, you deserve to be penalized.

Yes they passed the eye test for me. They just confirmed yesterday that the SEC is extremely overrated, which is what everyone in here has been saying for months now. The rest of the country got to see it as well
