Bama coaching turnover

I think it's the coaching turnover and the mercenary attitude as well. Some of that does effect recruiting. The Ross kid that killed them last night said as much (according to Herbie). That was one of the reasons he didn't go to Alabama ... he had no idea if his position coach (or coordinator) would be there the whole time or if he'd run through 2 or 3 of them. There is definitely something to be said for staff continuity. Don't be surprised if you see Saban adjust (like he always does) and lock down his staff for the next few years (which will likely be his last few). The mercenary mindset and culture only works if you are winning at the highest level. If they don't get back there again next year, things might start to change. EVERYTHING is cyclical. Trees don't grow to the sky. These issues might be the ***** in their armor that ends their cycle.

Saban is definitely is definitely a rich tyrant running a dictatorship by force. His loyal subjects (AL base) doesn’t provide enough to win it all so he hires a bunch of mercenaries. That money is used to manipulate power and control but it’s a risky way to do business long term. Mercs aren’t loyal and there’s no deeper cause worth fighting for when it gets tough (see Stanis).

The rich throw money at problems for power, but the wealthy get more with less for profit.
Saban went with a younger staff for recruiting and went big on marketing but development took a hit.
We (Miami) need to be balanced but never sacrifice real solid development and continuity for trends.

Anyone else think it’s catching up with them? They got outcouched badly in that game

The answer is yes.
They got outplayed because Clemson wanted it more. Never underestimate the revenge and drive.
Keeping your players motivated is tough, and as ridiculous as it sounds, when your team always wins, they dont know what losing even feels like so they dont even have that motivation to dig into.
Saban hates the "rat poison" media when they are praising them for how good they are, because it gets into their players' psyche . It's all a mental game. They do better when they have something to prove.

Clemson has a big advantage keeping their staff together like they do. Bama needs to figure something out with regards to stopping coaching turnover and Merc coaches. It's like every year some position coach or coordinator goes to Bama for a year and then leaves to become a HC somewhere else. What's interesting is the total amount spent on coaches is equivalent at both schools, but Clemson is able to pay their coordinators more and their position coaches less.

Even during the warmups the bama players didn't even seem that hyped up. You could almost feel as if they thought they had already won.

For those of you saying Tua was "exposed" and how bad he is, you are wrong. I watched the majority of their games this season. Dude was ridiculous and the best QB in the country no matter what anyone says. Heisman or not. Future QB-GOAT lawrence or not.
It was completely apparent to me that he wasn't at 100% ever since his injury. You could tell his movement in the pocket wasn't there, he couldn't escape the pocket and take off the same way, the elusiveness was gone, etc.

As far as Bama's dynasty being over and all that, all wrong. Another #1 recruiting class. Again. I'm predicting right now that Clemson doesn't win the championship next season, and that Bama has a much higher chance to make it. Argue all you want but Bama's road to the championship is also tougher than Clemson, mainly due to the weaker ACC play.

Anyways, all we can hope for is for us to improve enough that we can even meet Clemson in the ACCCG and put up a better performance than last time.

Some of you guys are nuts. Bama has lost a sht load of talent from their roster and it showed up against Clemson. They will be right back in the playoffs next year with another very good team.

Someone needs to contact that coward at Yahoo Sports. Robinson and have him get a PI firm to sit and watch these 5 stars from Nov- signing day and see what kind of dealings go in and out of some of these kids houses.

My honest opinion,... It's as much to with Alabama being evenly matched,.. I'm not referring to the 60 min of football,.. I'm talking about everything that "doesnt happen" at the collegiate level! Clemson is competing with Bama, behind the scenes in recruiting, behind the scenes in the weight room,.... Niw bama has real competition. Not saying Dabo doesnt have a great staff around him, just saying it would appear he is in a much more level playing field!
This was not level for the Tide....it was uphill, with a lot of confusion for an excellent QB.
On any given day, many teams can surprise in College ball.....and yes Alabama can be beaten, and taken to the woodshed.

Sure...so its time for a few heads to f-n roll! lol

Seriously though, if I was them, who gives a ****? What a great problem to have...buy big named coaches and players, coast to the final 4 every freakin year, win some...lose some...but always have a legit shot? ****, you do that good, you lose coaches...simple. Resume building cheating factory.

Kind of like when college head basketball coaches were interviewed early on about Calipari's situation and whether they like it or not. Most say **** no....this one and done **** this and I like to build a team that.... Then if asked if they would change places with him they all say...**** yeah I would.
