Did a piece last week on Omaha Central offensive lineman Deshawn Woods, now I'm doing one on Omaha Westside cornerback Avante ****erson.
Avante plays both RB & CB for Westside High. He is currently committed to Minnesota, but just announced he will not sign on Wednesday. It gives us time to hop into his recruitment. Nebraska is the favorite to sign him, but that is not set in stone, especially when they just lost to the Golden Gophers on Saturday.
****erson is SPEED PERSONIFIED. He runs a verified laser timed 4.37 40 yard dash & 4.16 shuttle! In his film he looks like he is shot out of a cannon. He measured at 5'10.5 and 159 pounds last summer but has surely grown since then.
He is currently rated a .9451 high 4 star according to 247 Composite and is the 232nd best player in the country & 2nd best player in Nebraska. He has Power 5 offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Rutgers, Texas, USC and UVA. There is still time for us to get involved!
