Yes, he has to go. Sooner the better. Question - Assume any coach - Coach X. How long before we become relevant?

Whomever it is has to fix team talent, speed, team mindset, defensive scheme, offensive scheme, etc. Will this take years? or can the right coach quickly right this thing? Do we really have a talent void?

Never, you dont comeback from 3 subpar coaches.... We are in the same boat as Texas right now except withou the money and fan support

We have players. Enough to win this ****** conference. It could be instant if the BOT and James don't **** it up

With the talent Miami has, and the recruiting hotbed that is all around UM.
The RIGHT guy can have an almost instant impact in turning things around.
Just see ND,OSU, USC,
Even TCU. Texas will do the same AFTER Strong is out ( not a bad coach. Bad fit)

Depends on how long they wait. If the change is made now, relevance can happen this season. The longer they wait, the more damage will be done.

Sorry Vern. You usually have good perspective, but this is not right. There is too much talent here locally and it's been proven 5 times that you can win it all at Miami. It will take the right coach. Schnelly did it in a far worse situation. It can be done.

6 times if you count the Terry Porter National Championship! :)

They have also sucked because they have had ****** QBs. This team has very solid QBs lined up for another few years in kayaa and Allison. A good coach alone should be able to work wonders with kayaa, yearby, et al. The depth on some positions on defense concerns me a bit but a good coach can get this team back.

But you're right, messing around with golden too much longer will make that comeback that much harder.

You can win the coastal next season but that isn't much of an accomplishment. A ****** could probably win it this season.

Talent isn't the issue, it hasn't been. It is just a bunch of micromanagers holding us up. They need to change their ways.

I thought for sure when I woke up this morning I would have an ESPN notification that the fraud was fired overnight.

But....no. Our admin is still gutless.

Regardless...to get to something relevant to the discussion, the longer we wait to can his ***, the more damage is done. We're not going to hire somebody (butch davis cough butch davis) to come in mid-season, but our hire (butch davis cough butch davis) can be made and the plans can be laid out and recruiting can begin.

With the building blocks of this team...first and most obvious Kaaya the triggerman, this roster could quickly be turned into a winner with the proper play callers in place.

We should at minimum win the coastal every year with the talent we have and the talent that is available. Weve been dog**** for over ten years now and still put multiple guys in the league yearly. The problem is that we have had 3 awful coaches in a row

Its not just that this administration is likely going to get another up an comer who has no ties to sfl, so that will ruin incoming classes for some time. So roll the dice and you might hit the lottery and get a coach who could be capable of winning with sub-par classes like Utah is doing now or like Boise did back in the day, but that's really your only shot. Winning a coach lottery with someone who can win without the best talent. Even that will take 4 years and during that time the fans are going to be demanding for his head and attendance is going to be a joke. It would be one thing if we filled the stands like the Gators. You almost feel like their fans deserve to demand new coaches, they deserve a voice, whereas ours are just whining biatches who don't support jack. There is likely 20 times more fans in SFL who are vocal about firing this current administration than there are fans in SFL who have actually put their hard earned cash where their mouths are. And lets be honest right now the Rutgers job is way more attractive than the Miami job is right now so what chance to do we have to win the coach lottery?
