Allen Trieu said he talked to a source close to Asaad Chapman that said the contact between the Canes and him has
been increasing.

Thinks they get here on an official, mid week based on schedule for all.

In shock but pleased with our effort to continue to add CBs. I’m a bit confused with OJ, Lucas, O’Connor, and Damari all set to come back, they all have done their job seemingly well. Maybe they expect someone to bolt? Idk, but I’m not mad at it.

Side note - This kid has some nice feet, especially for his size.
 
Interesting story. I wonder why he didn’t leave JUCO last year. His twin brother left and plays for UTSA; had an interception, his only on the year, in a crucial upset against Tulane.

Not sure if the twin got injured because I only see stats for three games.
 
One will likely get a significant NIL offer.

Also wonder if the staff could back fill in Portal or see if Jaelen Waters can play some snaps next season

Could see it, **** probably more than one if we are being honest but there will be plenty of time for that discussion.

Hope none of this runs Antoine off, really would like to see what we have there.

Antoine got some good reps so far this year and has that look we need there at cb..definitely looks the part. Had to double take him a few times.

CB room is pretty loaded...and from Body standpoint..Brody Jennings is ready to play one of him or waters should get thetype of snaps Antoine got this year.

Waters, Jennings, Dunnigan, Portis, should all be begging to get a crack at playing Nickel imo. Honestly Antoine should too. Literally so many snaps are available there. Sure they may have a slightly different role than Scott, but that'd be up to Heatherman to figure out. Finding a way to get the best 5-6 DBs on the field consistently is critical.

I think Lucas and OJ are definitely returning. I don't see why O'Connor would leave either as those 3 are all getting very good reps. Damari I can absolutely see portalling out.

Idk how anyone could look at that Safety room though and think we don't bring in someone in the portal. The Depth is disgusting. And we aren't even looking good to land/flip one of Stewart/Fitzpatrick....

Damari has some of the best stats in the ACC. Why would he portal out?

This is how the elite stack. I never remember us recruiting the secondary like we are now. Huge turnaround that has paid off nicely.

Because when all 4 were available he wasnt starting and played the least reps.. Back channel could be telling him $weet nothings about playing full time and not being a backup while tripling his NIL.. Alot of valid reasons, it will be interesting to see if we hold on to everyone, I know for us FANS it seems blasphemous, but that would be TOUGH.

Possibly because someone will throw a nice bag at him. Sometimes we lose players we don't want to lose, not just the ones looking for more PT elsewhere.

I expect to lose Damari, Jones, and either Pickett or McConathy on defense. I also expect to lose Lyle, Hellcat, Emory, Anderson, RayRay, Carr, and at 2 to 3 OL to the Portal.

As a result, we should add a QB, RB, WR, OL, DT, DE, LB, Nickel/Safety and a Kicker.

That’s 11 departures and 9 arrivals. I’m probably off on departures by 2 or so and a little light on arrivals by 2 or so.

Should be fun.
