special teams was probably even worse. When I see VT special teams perform year after year at a high level and remember the great special teams of our past, it is hard to swallow how bad they are. Think Devin Hester versus Braxton Berrios last year with all the speed we had? or remember how JJ used Bennie Blades as safety valve on kickoffs plus his design to kickoff to the corner of the field and pinching the return into a small zone. Do we even use starters on special teams? I seem to recall that Homer is used but a RB? Feagles had one great kick but it got returned 30 yards...duh!

Special teams should be a simple fix, I seem to recall once a team asked if any students could be a placekicker and they got a great one out of the student body...not sure what team it was but it worked. I wonder if any of our current roster has a kid that punted or did placekicking in high school? Coaches cannot be so blind that they can't see how bad our special teams are yet no improvements made in the off season...It seems Richt is reluctant to take any risks, he seems overly conservative.

No. If Rosier could have actually move the ball then those 25 yard punts would have been less costly.

Our kickoff coverage is horrible but we're lucky that the NCAA added that touch back inside the 25 year line rule or else teams would be getting to or 30 and 35 yard line like teams even with the talent level of Bethune Cookman were doing last year.

Do we not have a soccer team or any local rugby clubs? Gotta be able to find better than what we are getting.
