Artie Burns - Official Go fund me

Anyone know the limit for how much can go to Artie and his family? The press release mentions that money in excess of "X" will go to charity, not to his family's situation.

It passed 40k in a matter of ours it's not really about the money or anything like that but this shows how we as a fan base worry about our players and only want what's best for them there's good in everything golden gave us nothing but also gave us a lot and the banners were reasonable we love these guys
 
Yeah this makes me feel good. UM fans get such a bad rap but they don't see the **** like this, they just focus on the banners and whatnot.
 
They paused the drive at 40k. They obviously we're hoping for at least 10k, but I doubt they expected this much.
In order for it to not be an NCAA violation they can only accept the amount that it costs for all the medical bills and funeral costs, and things of that nature.
If it ends up costing more than 40k, they will continue with the drive. Either way, this has been a great show of support for Artie.
 
That thing would be over $100k by now had they not stopped it last night. Amazing support from UM fans/family for one of it's own. I'm sure that will ease a bit of the pain for Artie and his brothers a bit, in a time when they really need it. Awesome job, Canes!
 
I couldnt believe it until I read the Herald article. 40k in less then a day is ridiculous. Esp from a fanbase that people consider to be extremely negative. I think it actually caught UM off guard and they felt compelled to shut it down. **** one poster said it would have hit 100k in a few days and I believe it!
