Are we underestimating Shalala

I have been wondering, are we under estimating Shalala when it comes to firing Golden?

Just looking back on the Coker and Shannon eras she showed no hesitation. During Coker there was the LSU brawl, the FIU brawl, Bryan Pata murder, Willie Williams fiasco, Brandon Meriweather shooting, and a decreasing record.

During Shannon there was well nothing besides a couple losing seasons coupled with being anti social in some aspects with media, boosters, and high school coaches. When we think about Shannon he was brought in to clean up the mess left behind from Coker and to rule over the players with an iron fist. No one can argue Shannon did not do that and not to forget tried to run off Shapiro. Shannon had years remaining on his contract after a extension.

Now on to Golden era. We have seen 3 players dismissed for accused rape, one player suspended for the season for fighting the other kicked out of school, two players dismissed for weed, and lets not forget Baby Jesus. Not to mention maybe the worst level of disgust for the program under his tenure from fans and alumni. The there was the cloud.

The last thing Donna wants is a return to greatness of the football program. If she fires Golden, it will be to hire the next loser before she leaves.

I expect a firing. I have no estimation here. Either he's gone and she stays consistent with her "Best for the university" mantra, or he stays and she mentally checks out and inadvertently let's everyone know she doesn't care for the racist allegations(if she's even aware). Time will tell, no sense speculating.

One things certain, I'm not giving her more money for the medical school while she flushes $2M a year on the football team.

Assuming she has no hubris? I doubt that, her legacy probably means everything to her, she doesn't want a stain on it... Hopefully...

Shalala does not care about Football. When she was a Wisconsin that program was crap. She comes here and we become crap. Hopefully the next Pres. cares about putting a good product on the field.
