I'm wondering if not having a stadium, average at best facilities, lack of fan support, and likely the most important a admin that has a rep for not caring about the athletic program and not spending money is making coaches turn away.

Last coaching search no one was really interested and a few names are better than last go around but it's still nothing to get excited about.

Guys like gundy, herman, mullen, fedora and other coaches at mid tier programs, should be breaking down the door trying to get this job.

I don't know man. What do yall think?

This false narrative that miami has average facilities needs to stop.

10 yrs ago they were below average but we have great facilities now.

The stadium sucks but you also have elite speed in your backyard to recruit from

I think the biggest thing it comes down to is $$$. These hot names right now are wanting to be paid! And with cash cow jobs in the SEC and USC open, they are going to be your leaders for those names. Miami is a place where a coach can win! But they won't be paid as much.

if the report of them willing to pay 4 mill is true than money isn't as big of issue. USC wasn't paying much more for Sark. the facilities thing is exaggerated but i can see not having a stadium as a big negative for some. the biggest issue is having a historically rigid admin.

Definitely. We have a hyper critical, fair weather fanbase, the coaches' money won't go as far as in a lot of these big ten/ sec/ big 12 towns, so fla recruiting is cutthroat. But ultimately this place gives you a shot at glory and prestige that few other institutions provide, so i'm confident we'll be able to get someone decent.

Our highly incompetent Administration is probably the first red flag. This Athletic dept. displays incompetence at the highest level on the regular. If Blake James can't SELL this job to a badass savage that wants/needs to run this ****, then he's a worthless douche.
