How many of you are planning on coming to the App State game? Do you have a sense of how well the UM allotment is selling / sold?

This week has been open for donors at various levels to purchase tickets for the game. It's sounding like there may not be any tickets left when sales open to the general public on Tuesday (thanks eqzeb for catching the incorrect date).

I legit had to just google what state they're in. Kudos for you guys for traveling. I'll be at the famu, fsu, and pitt game this year....so far.

Boone, NC...just outside of Ashville I believe. Im about 4 hours away, I think I am going to see about grabbing a couple if they are available Monday. Definitely will be at GT.

i just graduated from UM and used to work in the ticket office, that game has been selling quite well actually

Appalachian State University is in Boone, NC. Two hours give or take from Charlotte and Asheville. Many visitors fly into Charlotte and drive up the mountain. Boone is a true college town; it's the antithesis of Miami in just about every way imaginable.

I know Miami has fans all over the country. I'm hoping those fans close enough to make the trip will do so. Having done the drive from here to Miami (and daughter-in-law's home of Key West) several times, I can heartily recommend flying into Charlotte (Boone does not have an airport).

A friend of mine and fellow poster got our season tickets for us. Says he was able to get ticks for the App state game too thru HC. So we'll be taking the 3 hour trip! :-)

I've got a group of five going to the game. Boone is a beautiful area. Lots to do, if you like outdoor stuff. Fly fishing, hiking, rafting and kayaking in mountain rivers. It's in the NW North Carolina mountains. Between Boone, Beech Mountain, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, there are lots of restaurants and high end shops (although that's not likely to be what some football fans are looking for in an out of town football weekend), too.

According to their website tickets will be on sale Tuesday, not Monday.

Q: Single game ticket sales?

2016 single game football tickets become available to the public Tuesday, Aug. 2nd. Season ticket holders and Yosef Club members will have opportunity to purchase from July 25-29 to reserve any single game tickets requests (start date notification will be on our web page and by email). You may buy online, visit or call our Athletic Ticket office.

My wife and I will be there, as well as the GT game. We are about 4 hrs from Boone and 2.5 hrs from Atlanta.

That's correct. For some reason I was thinking that Monday was the 2nd. Guess I'm just ready for football season to get here!

This will be the closest Miami probably ever plays to me so I definitely will go. It is basically an hour drive which is a little less than what Blacksburg is.

We are making the trip as well. Five of us at App State, 6 in Atl and 14 going to Chicago for the Notre Dame game. Going to be a fun season! Can't wait! Go Canes!
