I love and hate recruiting. I want all of the best players in general. I don't usually get hung up on specific kids coming or not because 1-2 kids don't make a program.

On the other hand . . .

Miss enough kids and you get our current situation.

are you asking if we're going to get anyone else? or if we all feel the same way?

Typically I agree that 1-2 kids don't make a program but if we got dalvin cook a few years ago then thins are VERY different right now for this program

I get the point and agree, but while Cook would have been huge, but things wouldn't be much different. We had Duke and we still couldn't win 10 games. Without getting into a "who's better" argument, let's just say Duke was pretty **** good so it's safe to say a great running back wasn't going to make up for al.

I 100% agree. I was more alluding to the FSU games but I didn't clarify. He single handedly beat us two straight years. just interesting to think about what would happen if he came here or went elsewhere other than fsu.

either way i'm happy how it worked out now that we have richt

Lol, for sure having him with us instead of against us would have won those two games. Let's not think too much about what beating fsu two years in a row might have meant to al's career.

Thank God we didn't get him - he could have saved Golden's job.

I enjoy recruiting when we're good. I barely followed it last year because the secret was out about Golden and the only top rated players to come here were the ones who were desperate to be Canes. You can't build a programme with one or two Duke Johnsons mixed in with 3 stars.

i like to see whats going on but never count a kid a miami kid till signing day. while alot of kids commit and stay that way until its official i don't get to worked up. i remember they are kids making a big choice. the first huge choice in there young lives and believe should take all 5 visits and have fun.

i love to see how the players are ranked and how class ends up ranked. in the end though results on feild matter most. i have seen miami get a number 1 class under shannon and all those kids fail big time. the btw kids sucked balls. jackory was only saving grace from btw that year.

truth is getting the kids u think fits your system and getting them to play to a level to win and win regularly is what counts. yes it is good thing to get some 4 and 5 stars and it helps to have alot of them , that said having good coaches matters just as much and we have that now.
