My guess Mario didn't want to have a Norvell esque moment of getting left out of the playoffs and told the team to watch without the cameras. Im sure everyone remembers this lol.

From the interviews with the ESPN reporters at each of the schools on the bubble, they made it seem like each team had a watch party, but Bama, ND, and Miami didn't have cameras on like JMU and other more secure teams.
