Hiring and implementing a new coach post regular season, before the bowl game. To me, seems like the 20 or so extra practices would help. This is all based on the staff being in place...maybe they are still with other teams.

not gonna happen when some of your top choices, fuente and herman, arent available to sign until after the regular season ends.

You hire your coach beforehand but he doesn't take over until after the bowl game. You don't want your coach to have to go into a bowl game with somebody else's staff and have the potential to look bad in his first game. Bring him in to recruit and observe and let him take over the day after the bowl game

They all have agents and the deal could silently be completed early, with an announcement around bowl time...
