Any opinions on Teryl Austin for DC???

Word is, he's on the hot-seat with the Detroit Lions.

Any thoughts on him being in the mix?

He was DC at UF in 2010, and had the 29th ranked scoring defense. The year before they were 4th, under Strong. The year after Austin, they were 21st under Dan Quinn.

After Florida, it looks like he coached Ed Reed with the Baltimore Ravens for a few years. Then got the Lions' DC job in 2014.

2014 Lions' defense was legit ...
