"Multiplicity" for the win.....

Little-known fact, the Michael Keaton character's name is an homage to National Lampoon Magazine co-founder Doug Kenney.

The guy who wrote Multiplicity (Chris Miller) was a co-writer and co-star (along with Doug Kenney) for the movie Animal House.

You remember that thing we had about 70 years ago called the Korean conflict? And how we failed to achieve victory? How come we didn't cross the 38th parallel and push those rice-eaters back to the Great Wall of China?

My brother and I have been referencing this scene for 30 years whenever one of us is doing something wrong/dumb

We did cross the 38th Parallel. Some forces went right up to the Chinese border. McArthur moved our troops well into North Korea with the intention of occupation.

But Chinese poured across the border and pushed us back.

Eisenhower wanted to end the war - and very quietly told the Chinese if he couldn't come to an agreement - he was going to nuke China from one end to the other.

They were convinced.
