Any chance we play ND in a bowl?

I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on the beat down that Notre dame has to endure to not make playoffs.... 24-28 points? I think it’s possible, I really do
Book is a pain in the ***. I'll give their O a couple of TD's and a FG.
With their time-consuming offense and a good D I could see them keeping it around 17-20.

I think a 14+ pt loss boots ND out of the top 4 with Texas a&m getting the nod for the fourth spot. With ND being recognized as an ACC school they'd get picked over us for the Orange bowl being ranked higher. Then they pick the best matchup from another conference.

I'd like to know what they'd do with a 2 loss Clemson team. Definitely have to drop them out of the top 4 but how far. Even if its close they'd have to fall back to 9 or 10.

I think a 14-17 win is guaranteed from Clemson.. as long as they are healthy. Dabo wants blood and venables will have the game plan to shut them down

Short answer - no
Long answer - no

I wouldn't be so sure. If Clemson beats them 38-10, they could drop out of the playoffs. It is ND, so I get it, they'll probably go up to #1 with a loss, but seriously, there is a path where they miss the playoffs.

Florida beats Bama in a classic, like by a point where Mac Jones has to miss a couple series, they'll both get in (excuse me while I puke up my breakfast, it's hard to even type a scenario where the gator gets in, but we're being hypothetical here)

Clemson demolishes ND

OSU beats Michigan by 40, then they allow them to play in the B1G champ game and they win that by 30.

#1 Clemson
#2 Florida
#3 OSU
#4 Bama

Miami and ND could play in a NY6 game.

That is an awful lot of things that would have to happen to make it a game. That said, the fact we would need Florida to win as one of the criteria, makes me want your scenario to fall apart!! LOL

Nah. As much as I hate ND they put 47pts up on a healthy defense and their back cranked out 160 yards against Veneables defense. His defense can be beaten. Clemson did turn it over 3 times but none were ints so I'm not sure how much of a difference Lawrence can make. Score 48 points?

I could have sworn they had key starters out on defense

If that's the case I stand corrected.
James Skalski MLB play caller, also their speed LB cant remember his name also a play caller and a starting DT Tyler Davis i think. Also during the game they lost a couple guys in the secondary. It was a far cry from the Clemson we faced. ND bout to get their **** pushed in big time if all those guys are back and healthy with Sunshine.

Serious question, since this year ND is "technically" an ACC team, could UM vs ND even happen, IF your scenario would play out?

Hopefully ND does lose. Its hard enough rooting for the ACC when Clemson represents. If its ND i'm not sure I can pull for them under any circumstance.
