If he is undefeated after the Cincinnati game, I'll change my mind about him.

**** of a lot better than Fuente, I'll give you that.

He could be another mike leach though.

Another Mike Leach in what way?

Offensive mastermind with an affinity for Pirates and a hatred for pansies?

Would you "take a risk" if the guy is undefeated at the end of the year?

He is a very good college HC in the making.

everyones a risk that hasnt recruited vs fisher n saban

Fisher was a Saban disciple...he only knew what Saban taught him (in terms of recruiting)@

Now he's considered one of the better HCs in CFB

He has, plus we dont need a recruiter we need a dam coach and this guy can coach

I don't mind taking this risk, as the ceiling looks higher than what we would get from the other names that are being discussed.

He was the primary recruiter for Torrance Gibson and Dixon. He has experience in SFL and GA (where he recruited some of their top prospects).

So you guys want a coach that's proven absolutely nothing at the FBS level, that's exactly how we got Al Molden and look how it's turned out. Stop clamoring for a coach just because he's won his first couple of games, he's a rookie head coach learning on the job at an AAC school. You guys are setting the bar really low for coaches, are you going to do the same for wins?

He put up more points on Louisville than any other team, with low rated kids in his first year as a HC. More points than what Clemson or Auburn (with 5-star athletes) scored on Louisville. We have Brad Kaaya coming back for his 3rd year. He lead the ACC in passing, as a freshman with James Coley coaching him and calling plays. Tom Herman would have him blowing up scoreboards by the middle of third quarter. Kaaya, Sam Bruce, Joe Yearby, Stacey Coley, Cager, and one of our athletic TEs in a Tom Herman offense vs Coastal teams would be the most explosive and high scoring offense in the conference. Yeah, why would we want that?

I don't think he'll have a problem recruiting. He can go to Jack Allison and show how well he developed EVERY QB that he's coached at Rice, OSU, and Houston. He can show a national title ring. Conference title rings. Scoring records from his offense. He can also recruit defensive players. He has a 5-star DT (beat out the coaches that you're afraid of, Dwinstitles) committed to Houston in his first year, when we can't get 1 to commit to Miami.

USC and Maryland are rumored to want him.

That man is talking winning a championship at Houston in his first year. That's exactly the kind of coach we need.

Reading more about Herman makes me consider him more. I still prefer Butch, but after him it is a crap shoot. Since I am no longer a booster who might be sitting in first class and get booted, I can be convinced he is okay. If I was still writing those checks, he would have to have the NC in his hands to take my seat. I'm big too and need that larger seat. I doubt the BOT will out bid anyone.
