And who wanted Treon Harris here as Quaterback?

I wanted him on the roster. If not at QB, he could make an impact at other spots.
 
I still definitely wanted the kid on our roster. His athleticism could have made a solid receiver or defensive back for us but it was definitely obvious that he shouldnt be a QB. He is getting by purely on athleticism.
 
Coming out of high school not many people did. There was talk about him as a wideout but i dont see that either
 
He is Ice's kid. So it was supposed to be a legacy hire. Like Golden's nephew playing here.

Harris went to Florida to play quarterback. Every other program including Miami was recruiting him as an athlete. Only reason he's playing is Mr. GNC got suspended. That kid was developing into a **** good quarterback. I think Florida has some stud coming in next fall. I wouldn't be surprised if Harris transfers to a FCS program to play quarterback.
 
I thought Florida committed to him at QB and Miami wouldn't... is that why he didn't come here?
 
If he hadn't swtiched to UF at the last second Harris might be starting for FSU right now since Golson is out...that is, if he's even better than Maguire.

We offered him as an athlete from the beginning and offered as a qb a couple weeks before signing day. Same timing as florida's offer I think. I'm sure he just looked at the depth charts and liked his odds better up there

He could be a millionaire as a DB. as a QB he will not even be drafted....I hate it when these kids get bad advice from dumb people.
 
How the **** he ever thought he was college quarterback material is beyond me. Kid is delusional.

There were quite a few on here who were all over Treon Harris coming here as a QB and were stating that Golden failed to bring him in. I can't stand watching coaches throw great athletes in at QB when the kids are not QB's. They hurt those kids careers and generally hurt their own team. Those kids will do great against bad teams, but as soon as they play another good team with athletes all over the field, the kid is forced to win with his arm and most often they can't.
