Read an article on the trend Bama exploits to hire analysts in non-coaching support roles. Texas, Clemson, Auburn, etc., are all using this model. Some high-level coaches do not use them, like Jim Harbaugh. Maybe he should.

Not news to the members of CIS.

Anyone know who, or if, the Canes might have in this capacity? We’ve discussed possible filling of the new 10th coaching position, but I do not recall hearing or reading of anyone supporting the team in this manner.

I am pretty sure we have some but not as many as Clemson and Bama have. Our Coaches are: M. Richt, J. Richt, Brown, Searles, Kool, Dugans, Diaz, Rumph, Banda, Hartley. By my count that's 10 so I am guessing J. Richt is a support role? Rodriguez, and Baez also have their roles as well. Also the guy, don't even know his name but always around the QB's when plays are being called in, maybe he's a GA? Not sure what they do but there are definitely people there.
