As with ALL THINGS time will tell how effective and good Manny and his staff really are, but until proven otherwise, I still believe that they will steadily improve us and get it done.
Ironically, the only coach I am wondering about tonight, is our DL coach, Stroud. The previous 3 seasons had the DL showing penetration and technique from game 1. Maybe we've plumb run out of good DT's and such, and I hope I'm wrong, but I really want to see the DL improve as the season progresses.
One of the greatest things about Butch's teams was that they always crescendoed and got better as the season went along. That hasn't happened in a LOOOONNNGGG time!
As of tonight, I believe that our OL and O in general (including the playcalling), will steadily improve as the season goes on. If there is any part of the team that doesn't improve as the season wears on (looking at your OL and DL), I hope that Manny will show the same cutthroat nature and replace those coaches until we get people that help us get to a championship.
I still believe that we will win 11 games this year. Here's to these student athletes learning and growing over the next 4 months!
