Amir Rasul reconsidering Miami & is now 80% commit to FSU

Based on history, I am going to trust Mark on getting RBs. He seems to keep them in ample supply. That said, I want more speed on our team, speed everywhere.

kids an average RB but an elite athlete.
That's what everyone said about Dalvin Cook. Give me the elite athlete all day everyday. You can coach him to be a RB.

I do remember this. A few people said he didn't have the vision and just got by on his speed and hitting the big holes his line have him.

Shoot, a few people....please. The majority hung on Yearby's nuts and a few of us thought we were getting the lesser back.

Now that some of us were proven correct and it's obvious to anyone with two eyes who's better, there's people saying they liked Cook all along.

No one said that Cook was an avg RB, but there were talks about him having a higher ceiling as a DB

Amir has elite track numbers, but avg/below avg. production in hs. People have known about him since his days with the palmetto raiders, where he was then known as "soft", but fast. He won the 100m in the junior Olympics in 8th grade, IIRC.

Here's a comparison against the kid that everyone wants to drop. Keep in mind that South Dade played a tougher schedule.

Amir Rasul 132 767 5.8 10

Jawon Hamilton 131 1259 9.6 16 .

Exactly . Anyone with a brain knew Cook was the goods.

Rasul is nowhere in that dudes stratosphere .
Except that's not true at all. A bunch of dummies on this board (definitely not just a few people) were saying Cook didn't possess the vision or instincts to be a great RB and he was being overrated because of his athleticism allowing him to just get by people. Saying Yearby was the better RB, as evidenced by him starting over Cook at Central.

I don't know enough about Rasul to make an opinion on him either way, but I do know I'd take an elite, explosive athlete any day over a meh athlete being pumped up for being a better pure RB in high school. That's what we have coaches for.

I don't know if you can teach a RB to have better vision, that wouldn't matter if have a monster O-line

Idk about a majority, but yes I agree. A lot of people were understating Cook severely.

No such thing as an elite RB who produces those pedestrian numbers in HS. I'd take Hamilton over him in a second.

Cook had better stats than Yearby. Rasul isn't even the best offensive skill player for coral gables (Kevin Romer). Can you list any track kids that had mediocre stats in hs, and beasted in college? Don't say Santana Moss, when he was second team all-state, despite being in a veer-option offense.

I'm really just tired of watching a Miami team trot out pedestrian skill players. I just really want to see some guys who can ******* ran. Kermit Whitfield isn't a football player, but without him returning that kickoff, F$who doesn't have a chance to win that game at the end.

I wouldn't drop anyone to get Rasul, but it sure would be nice to get some guys who can fly. I think we're all just tired of watching bloated up slow mother****ing coal shovelers running around out there.

A majority would be 51 percent and I'd say it was closer to 70 percent at a minimum saying what the one fellow said above. Yearby is the starter, has better vision, and quicks. They were labeling Cook as just some speed back.

Cook looked like one of the best rbs I've ever seen. Rasul is just athletic af but not a pure rb

those numbers are awful. sounds like jeff demps without the high school production.
