Will help with depth for this year at RB. track recruiting is very different from most sports and often goes late into the summer of their senior year. I don't have any confirmation but if he is committing in June of his senior year, I'd assume it would be for a track scholarship than football.

It's not even that. If he's a scholarship athlete for any other sport, and then decides to play football, that scholarship becomes a football scholarship.

Any type of recruitment by the football staff automatically makes its a football scholarship. Ie the opposite of Latwan (obviously if he touched the game field it woulda been a football ship)

He must play in a game first. If he is just out there on the practice squad and was not recruited for football then the scholarship will not switch to football.
