Taylor is currently rated a mid three-star with an 86 Rating but will be getting a nice bump when the updated Rivals 300 for the 2028 class comes out on Tuesday. He’s an intriguing receiver with a ton of high-end traits. Taylor is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound multi-sport athlete who also runs track and plays hoops, and didn’t even start playing football until eighth grade. As a freshman, he had some impressive track marks, including a 20’6″ long jump, 5’8″ high jump, and 44′ triple jump. He didn’t do track as a sophomore but plans to this spring.
He had a breakout sophomore season, catching 69 passes for 1,177 yards and 10 touchdowns, and is on pace to double those numbers this year. Through five games, Taylor has 47 catches for 908 yards and 12 touchdowns. He’s still growing as a receiver in terms of his route running and polish, but can overwhelm a defensive back with his size, speed, and strength. He wins 50-50 balls, runs through tacklers, and has the speed to run away from a defense.
One school Taylor hasn’t heard from yet but would love to is Miami. “Miami would be a dream offer for me,” Taylor said. “I got in to football late, so I didn’t grow up with a team, but I started watching Miami when Cam Ward was there and liked them a lot. “Growing up, basketball was my dream, but I’m all in on football now. It’s been a huge blessing, recruiting is going great, and I’m very thankful.”
