At first I thought this defense was championship caliber but it really isn't. You want to know how that is? When you find yourself constantly making excuses as to why this or that team did anything they wanted offensively every week is when you know it isn't a elite defense.

Look at what a real elite defense, clemson, did to boston college and FSU. Oh wait, here comes one of you with the "they are tired" excuse after giving up 300 yards in 1 half to BC or 27 to FSU.

They didn’t give up 27 to FSU

They are a top 10-15 defense ....elite no

This, people have been blind pushing stats down our throats. Stats don't always tell the whole story. Defense might have low total yard #'s but how much is put into that because teams have had short fields. Only good stat has-been the scoring stat in my opinion. Yeah TFL are great but when you get it on first just to let the team get the first on 2nd it's pointless

First, y'all quit talking football in a cartoon thread. Sheesh.

Second, this is an elite defense. They cannot play to their potential all season when you have an offense like ours. The massive amount of short fields and bull**** losses due to offensive ineptitude have taken its toll on the defense.
