He would be a perfect 4-3 DE but in this 3-4 system he isn't as effective as he could be.

Did I mention that he gont blown off the ball on almost every single running play last night?
 
Imagine if he has played last year, imagine is he had been allowed to play aggressive the first part of the year.
 
Al's fault was not the recruits, it was his ****** neutering of the players once they got here. Let these players play without having to think much, let them use their instincts more. I did like how they were using some aggressive defensive looking players, but that them coach is so ******, they went back to no pre-snap movement and Duke moved at will.

We played primarily 4-3 one gap last night...and when we played a three man front, they were still rushing aggressively plus bringing extra guys on the blitz. The defense was good until the end when they couldn't get lined up which is 100% on the coaches. Also, at the end the front four was so tired which didn't help.
 
There is so really good talent coming back. Next coach will walk into nice situation. The key will be the OC and DC hires........pony up the $$$$$ UM and play for ACC title next year!!!
 
Last night gave me so much hope again. I don't care that it was Duke. We had a coach that didn't get in our players way, and a backup qb on the road. Now get the right coaching staff in here and we will return to dominance next year.

we have talent. i think grace, aqm, corn, chad, moten, courtel, etc will beast out wit a real coach.
perry,redwine, jaquan, are all very talented. keep in mind, patchan is redshirting. this recruiting class
might fall apart a little but this will be a quicker fix with the right coach than people think.
