All ACC Preseason Team

F' the preseason list, lets see how many UM player's we will have at the end of the season!! I have a feeling this year MIAMI will have the most player's represented..
its way harder to make it as a UM player. look where JJ and AR finished in ROY voting two years ago.

Then explain how Derwin James was picked over Jaquan Johnson for All ACC 1st team last season? It's all hype just like the draft my friend. You can believe whatever they want to tell you.
you were talking about NFL Scouts. I agree. Derwin was all hype but end of the day, UM players are always hated on.

I'll say this, I was at the UM/FSU game last year and we were praying FSU didn't give the ball to Akers. For some reason Jimbo was in love with the #9 kid who we were folding up everytime he touched it. Akers was going off!

I'm shocked we didn't get a single rep on Offense. I've been telling people all summer that UM is loaded this year.

Apparently you're not allowed to acknowledge any FSU player as being good, put your Miami homer glasses on (pun intended). Akers has a special burst, I was glad they were giving it to Patrick as well.

I'm not shocked all. Richards was the only chance that we had of someone making preseason First team, and he was injured for 90% of last season. His decreased numbers was a direct reflection of his injuries.

We don't need preseason rankings to show us anything. We know that, when healthy, Ahmmon is arguably the best receiver in the country, let alone the ACC. We have 3 that made the team on the defensive side of the ball. That's due to what has been proven on the field. We, as fans, know that we are much more loaded on the offensive side of the ball than we are on the defensive side of the ball. However, the offensive talent, for the most part, is unproven.

Jordan, Thomas, Mallory, Homer, Pope, and Dallas are all amazing weapons to have in your ****nal. Out of that group, Thomas is the only one that defensive coordinator's will initially game plan against. That's bodes well for us. By the time they learn of the others, it will be too late!

There will be 4 guys on the list after the season: Ahmmon, DeeJay, Brevin, Navaughn.

Homer was better in every statistical category outside of rushing yards because he didn’t receive the same amount of carries as Akers but homers ypc of 5.9 was better than Akers ypc which was 5.3.
Homer had more:
more receiving yards
More rushing tds
More receiving tds
Better ypc (5.9 >5.3)

Reputation/hype outweighs production on these pre-season lists a lot of the time. I'd definitely put Homer ahead of Akers.
