The fact that he can sign any decent recruit is amazing given the bullshyt product he puts on the field. Look at Michigan's recruiting class or UF.A.G.'s recruiting classes with similar bullshyt corches and much better facilities. They pale in comparison to what Folden has done from a recruiting perspective.

I would take less talent if it meant having a real head coach and assistants. We've had good recruiting classes the last 12 years and it hasn't amounted to a darn thing. That's why I'm not excited about Signing day next week. Why? So we can have more 5* kids playing patty cake and lining up 15 yards off the **** ball? Pass.

Folden has proven that recruiting isn't everything, and that you can't win games by simply having more talent than your opponent. Folden is a horrific coach and he can't leave UM soon enough for my liking, but he is still able to sign highly touted kids in spite of his obvious deficiencies as a head football coach.

Man I just hope he is doing something we don't know, scheme wise. At this point I want us to at least change the scheme and if it doesn't work out I at least know the kids tried but aren't getting put in a situation to win. Good bye golden

Don't even try it. Folden sucks as a recruiter. Have you even noticed the Top Flight Talent that has left South Florida during the Folden's tenure at Miami?

Sonny, there is no doubt that Folden deploys lousy strategies and gets worked over by high school kids and loses SF kids left and right, but the fact that he can convince any big time player to come to UM is impressive to me because he is among the worst corches in CFB when it comes to scheme, game planning, adjustments and motivating players. This guy could obviously sell ice cubes to Eskimos. The problem for Folden is that no matter how much talent he can hoodwink into to coming to play for him, it doesn't show on the field. We have more NFL level talent than anyone other than FSU and we can't beat UVA or Pitt or any of the other slouches that beat us this year.

Honestly, if he closes with some of the guys he can close with, keeping guys like Scarlett, etc. I will say its pretty **** impressive considering what a disaster the staff is and last season was. I cant even imagine what he has to sell these kids at this point. I thought this class would be a total catastrophe, and it could well end up being one, but if he closes strong, it will be pretty **** impressive. He may not be much of an HC, but dude is a **** of a salesman if he can close this class strong.

You may have forgotten but the few years in 2000's when Miami was on top of College Football we pretty much got whomever we wanted. I'm talking #1, #2 class in college football. Players would love to come here...if we had a winning program. Our president, coach, and athletic director keeps us from having a winning program.

It's the moms. He's got a schtick that plays well with the moms.

I think we have had only 1 recruiting class ranked #1 in the past and that was relatively recently when Shannon was head coach. During our hey day we usually ranked in the top 10 somewhere. The main difference between us then and now is that we held on to SF talent more consistently and could cherry pick national studs here and there.

The older generation coaches would barely get close to a top 10 class but knew how to coach players up to their best attributes....Shannon's top 1-2 class being the exception and we all know how that turned out...
