Akheem Mesidor interview on Gramlich & Mac Lain & it’s excellent

Very impressed with Mesidor. Very enjoyable to listen to someone who loves the game and know the game.

Gramlich commented that Florida's coaching staff said Miami's defense is the best they've played in several years.

Mac Lain referred back to the great Miami teams of the past when the best defense and best offence were practicing against each other. Miami has that now with this team.

Agree with all the comments here on Mesidor and the excellent interview. I also thought Mesidor did a fantastic job representing UM at ACC Media Days this summer and his intelligence, leadership, and love of Coach Hetherman’s style showed through both then and again here.

Hope he stays healthy and does well in the combine. Where does everyone see him going in the draft right now?

I think it comes down to the testing.
Test well at Pro Day/Combine and go in the 2nd/3rd round.
Test average and go in the 4th/5th round.

His short space/area quickness is elite.

3rd, downside 4th
Will have an NFL career. Get paid and pension
Wonder what his weight will be by combine
Is he a hand in the dirt guy, or 250ish stand up and move along LOS

Edit:
Think he will be 25 during draft.

Maybe it is recency bias, but I think he has more pro upside than Quincy Roche, who basically had to switch to OLB in the NFL.
