If and that is a big if Al makes a move on Mark (personally don't think he will) when would the announcement be made? Randy was fired the night of the USF loss. Diaz at UT was canned the day after BYU. Any insight?

AG will not fire him. If he leaves, it will be Coach D resigning. (after Pitt makes a ton of sense)

not sure if serious..............

But if D'Onofrio gets fired now, and we go to a bowl game without hijm, we have a shot at winning a bowl game!

I don't see a move coming. It's obvious it's the DLine/Lb talent right now, mostly Dline, not the coach.

My brother who doesn't follow Miami, was calling out our linebackers (especially Kirby) and telling me EXACTLY what was going to happen and I couldn't say a word...SMDH!!!

Corch Duh will decide that he wants to pursue a career as an NFL LB corch. Hopefully, he and Al Tin have a friend in the NFL who will take him off our hands and give him a dopey LB corching gig.

A lot of people can call out what an LB is gonna do. It doesn't take an expert to see our DLine creates ZERO pressure on pass rush and looks like they're on roller skates on running downs. Our best DL was a situational guy at UVA.

If you don't have the horses what do u expect?
Our DT's except Pierre get single blocked and can't shed the block. Our DE's get doubled and chipped.
Anytime 30 and 31 are in the game we are playing 9 versus 11. That Savage td run was a great example of that. The qb just slalomed by 31 then 30.

Gaines had a good game today but has been a liability the past 5 games due to his lack of athleticism.
Gilbert can ***** all he wants about playing time but he is useless against the run. Hope he gets his graduate degree. He's going to need it.

We tried elaborate stunts and zone blitzes but we just don't have the guys.
Quan and McCord are too small to run an inside stunt as they get stonewalled by guards.
Watching Luther Robinson drop into coverage and let a tightend blow 10 yards past him was almost physically painful.
Hope his daddy saw that and can get his Escalade down payment back. Don't see a pro career for Luther.

The scheme works for Seattle and San Franciso because they have the talent.
We are a year away on defense.

Boss, you were calling us going undefeated until our first loss. Now, we don't the have the horses to stop ****** teams from gashing us for 500 every week and setting records on our D?

I was, and I still think it would have been so if Morris wasn't hurt all year and Duke doesn't go down.
We needed everything to fall right, most importantly health.
You can't lose a player like Duke when you are playing 10 scholly's down.
We were right in the thick of it with FSU. Duke was tearing them a new *****, then our season went in the shiitter.

Having one of the most dynamic players in football covers a lot of warts.

Contrary to what all these haters think, our talent is excellent, but not deep.
Shallow in fact. We can't handle injuries to key players.
Against UNC Rodgers handled Ebron, then once he goes down Ebron lights us up.

Morris being hobbled hurt us. Duke going down killed us.
A minute after it happened I texted my family, "the season is now over."
People don't realize that Duke going down was the worst injury for our defense as well.
We went from 200 yards a game rushing to a hundred, which means our quality defensive depth or lack thereof has been exposed.

Demoralizing as **** also.

I think MDO will be back next year.

People keep ignoring the fact this is Al Golden's scheme.

IF Golden decides to drastically change things, my guess is he'll allow MDO to try and make the changes.

I agree unfortunately. Coaches are notoriously stubborn. I would hope Golden and D'O are smart enough to make changes in their scheme.

They've also had to beg, borrow and steal players the past 3 years.
Those days are over.
Wait until this year's NFL combine and you will see the difference this coaching staff has made.
Every year we have gotten better, talent wise, in the win column and physically.

I'm not forgetting it at all. I think he has to go even if he and Duh know it's THEIR defense because if he doesn't, then the program will have no momentum going into next season. Fans will be rabid looking for blood.

It's really the only hope for giving the fans hope. If you don't at least give the impression that you're trying to fix this historically bad defense, then the tide will turn rapidly against Corch Al.

Very good point.
I think a Bowl Win over an SEC team and a heisman trophy winner would give us hope as well.
