Here is one gem people are now saying about Richt:
I say yes we have improved. Just the "never quit" mentality is an improvement, IMO. Making come backs in all of our losses and making an extremely competitive game. With Shannon as the head coach we probably would have just folded up and quit in those games.

What we need to improve on is executing the plays properly, getting stronger in the weight room, making tackles etc. That cannot happen immediately. That is something that will take time. We will know a little bit more next season where we stand with those things.

Now with that being said, has there been improvement 8 games into Richt's tenure?

Hard to say, the Richt slurpers say we have to give him 5 years before we can render an opinion.

We start off the game terrible in all phases and then adjust as the game goes along but it's been too late against UNC and ND.

Complete opposite of the last staff. I'd like to see us come out more prepared and still make good adjustments as the game goes along. It's not easy to win going down by double digits in the first half

Im optimistic about the defense. Offensively no.

Richt is an offensive guy though. If the defense were sucking at least you could scream out for a coordinator change. Golden actually revived our offense somewhat from the Shannon/ late Coker years. (Even though the D and special teams definitely regressed under Al.) Now Richt is bringing our offense to the days of Rich Olson and Pat Nix.

FSU was a choke job exactly like the Golden era choke jobs.

Jimbob does that with every opponent where he'll coRch the Noles to a double digit deficit at halftime before he'll make some dramatic in game adjustments and win.

They also have Dalvin who is notorious for taking over games in the second half. It's virtually impossible to contain a guy like that for 4 quarters. I'm anxious to see Jimbo get out of those deficits without him.

As for the FSU game this year, it wasn't the best coached game by any stretch of the imagination but a missed XP and awful interception in the red zone were the difference. Not to mention a phantom holding calling back a TD. Easily could have won't that game but had nothing go right. It happens.

I'm not overly concerned like most on here, I see improvements in many areas and idc what people say about Richt, you don't win 150 games in SEC football if you don't know what you're doing. However, I feel he isn't adjusting to personnel on the current roster, which is my main concern. So until he does that I guess we'll just have to wait to get his guys. It shouldn't be that way, but it's the way he's doing it.

Defense is way better and offense is about the same maybe slightly worse. PEople forget we couldn't score against Clemson and even though UNC had a horrible defense last year we still could only score in garbage time.

They have the talent to play like a bunch of retards and still win the game. Miami? Not so much.
